How we control quality

01
Incoming inspection
Leather and hardware are checked on arrival: thickness, colour difference, temper and appearance.
02
In-process checks
Each operation — cutting, bonding, colouring, stitching — self-checks to standard and keeps a reference piece.
03
Full final inspection
Every piece is checked for edge, lettering, colour difference and dimension against both standards.
04
Approved sample kept on file
The approved sample and batch swatch stay on file so repeat orders run to the same standard.

Clear varnish finish and colour fastness

A clear varnish coat is applied to the leather surface as a protective layer. Its purpose is to resist fading — this is a finishing process, not an applied film.

  • Surface treatment: a clear varnish coat on the leather face
  • Purpose: anti-fading
  • Colour fastness grade 3–4
  • Wash-resistant, dry cleaning included
  • Applied to: leather patches used on garments and jeans
  • The colour-fastness figure above is our own measure and is not tied to a standard reference. If you need a report to a nominated standard or laboratory, tell us the scope in your enquiry and we will confirm feasibility and timing first.

Need other test items?

Acceptance requirements differ from brand to brand. If your order needs results for specific test items or from a particular laboratory, tell us in your enquiry — we will confirm feasibility and timing before committing.
